Wave holds first Graduate Recruitment Day
19 October 2021
Everyone at Wave was excited to see a stream of graduates attending the office last week to take part in our first graduate recruitment assessment centre. Graduates from a range of universities with first and second degrees attended to compete for places on this year’s graduate scheme beginning in November.
Wave has always believed in hiring recent graduates, with first degrees or higher, from a range of scientific backgrounds. However, with the accelerating growth of the agency we needed to find more new talent fast, so we embarked on our first scheme to test the skills and fit of individuals across a full day.
The attending graduates were introduced to the exciting world of medical communications and given a briefing on Wave’s three career ladders from team members in three different roles – medical writing, account management and editorial. They were then given a series of tasks and exercises, to complete in groups and individually, along with interviews with the agency’s MD, James Seed.
Feedback from the graduates attending was so positive:
“This is my first graduate assessment day and I didn’t know what to expect. But it’s been a great experience. I’ve learnt a lot and I have enjoyed it!”
“I thought this would be a scary process but it’s been really fun and everyone has been very welcoming”
It really is an exciting time here at Wave! We plan to hold two graduate assessment days per year, so do get in touch if you’d like to be considered for the next one.
If you have experience in medical communications and are interested in joining the team, we’d also love to hear from you. Click here to view our vacancies.
