Wave wins two awards at the PM Society Digital Awards 2021
17 September 2021
What a brilliant result! We are thrilled to have won two awards at the PM Society Digital Awards on 16th September 2021.
We took home a GOLD and a BRONZE award, both in ‘HCP Education, Training & Support’. We were also finalists in ‘Meetings & Events’.
Our success in both categories reflects our focus on programmes that are clinically compelling and effective in communicating with HCPs. Read more here about how we use ‘Clinically relevant thinking’ to achieve objectives for our clients.
Gold Award – HCP Education, Training & Support
Our Gold winning programme was a peer-to-peer digital educational initiative for Janssen Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) designed to share practical experience, build confidence, develop advocacy, and accelerate adoption of an innovative treatment across the region. A treatment that, without experience, could seem daunting to HCPs.
Partnering with a Steering Committee of international KOLs and country teams, we created a flexible, comprehensive digital programme to replicate in-person learning through a variety of formats.
Exceeding all our expectations in reach and influence, the programme has increased HCPs’ confidence to use the therapy by 40% on average and helped more patients access a treatment that finally makes a difference to them.
Bronze Award – HCP Education, Training & Support
Our Bronze award was for a 3-day fully virtual meeting – the 8th Haematology Summit, for Janssen-Cilag UK. Due to the pandemic, this had to be adapted from a well-respected, established in-person conference with an eight-year history to a congress-style digital event.
We created a bespoke, immersive online event that provided the high quality of education that HCPs expected from this annual event. Special consideration was taken to ensure that the online agenda and session formats would work for HCPs as they attempted to fit education around their busy ‘day jobs’ amidst the second wave of the COVID pandemic at the start of 2021. Broadcast training for faculty, on-demand content made available on the same day, and RCPath accreditation resulted in the conference exceeding the attendance and feedback metrics we set out to achieve.
Well done to all the Wave team members that worked on these two fantastic programmes and thank you to our wonderful clients for your vision and partnership. We are really proud of what we achieved together!
